Expect a fabulous day full of activities, talks and workshops for Austen fans young and old alike! Expect afternoon teas, dance workshops, crafting, talks and more…

A Scrumptious Afternoon Tea

Join us for a perfectly delectable afternoon tea accompanied by live music for a truly regency afternoon. After tea you’ll be able to particpate in an abudance of regency themed crafts and activities with a few goodies of your own to take home!

Join us after your afternoon tea for our regency dance workshop (for free)!

Tickets £30 to include sandwiches, cakes, tea and coffee and a Goodie Bag.

Regency Dance Workshop

Come along and learn some regency dances ahead of this evening’s ball.

We’ll learn how one would conduct oneself in Austen’s England and practice our dance moves so you’re ready to meet Mr Darcy on the dance floor!

We’ll focus on the most popular dances from the period (and still today!) as well as dances featured in adaptations of Jane Austen’s work.

3-4pm, De Grey Rooms, York

Tickets £5 or Free with Ball Entry or Aftenoon Tea.

Austen’s Birthday Ball

Dance the night away with our festive regency ball. Our dance mistress will guide you through the steps as you move your feet to a live band. Come along and celebrate Jane’s birthday in true regency style!

7-10pm, De Grey Rooms, York

Tickets £40 to include a drink on arrival and cold buffet

Venue

The De Grey Rooms is a grade 2 listed building and 19th century ballroom in the heart of York. It is easily accessible off St Leonard's Place.

There will be a bar available at the evening event.

Organisers

Lottie has been performing in Historic Dance groups for over 15 years and teaching for nearly 10 years. Historic Dance was a hobby that turned into a passion and now a business!

Lottie has run many historic themed events (such as this year’s May Dance Tea Dance and Victorian Gothic Ball) but this is her biggest project yet!
